Terratech Group is engaged in the business of quarrying and production of premium-quality marble blocks in Kelantan, Malaysia. It also sells marble and marble products. Marble is the common name for a group of mineral rocks. Dr Loh Chang Kaan, Terratech s CEO, said: The listing of Terratech on SGX today marks a significant milestone as we embark on an exciting phase of our growth journey. We are also honoured and proud to be the first marble producer in the mineral, oil and gas sector to be listed on the Catalist board. As a listed company, it provides us with a platform to accelerate our commercial production, and helps to boost our profile and raise awareness among our potential customer base. In the near future, we plan to venture into the calcium carbonate powder production business and may explore strategic acquisitions of additional stone quarries. Lawrence Wong, Head of Listings at SGX, said: We are pleased to welcome Terratech Group to Catalist, our platform for fast growing companies. We look forward to them leveraging on SGX to support their business expansion. Our investors now have more choice as they look to tap the growing mineral, oil and gas (MOG) sector.
