    Description
    United Overseas Insurance Limited (the "Company") wishes to announce that all the resolutions relating to the businesses set out in the Company's Notice of AGM dated 4 April 2011, including the payment of the final one-tier tax-exempt dividend of 12.0 cents per share, were passed at the AGM held on 29 April 2011.

    As announced by the Company on 21 February 2011, the Share Transfer Books and Registers of Members of the Company will be closed from 11 May to 12 May 2011, both dates inclusive, for the preparation of dividend warrants. Duly completed transfers received by the Company's Registrar, Boardroom Corporate & Advisory Services Pte Ltd, 50 Raffles Place, Singapore Land Tower #32-01, Singapore 048623, up to 5.00 pm on 10 May 2011 will be registered to determine shareholders' entitlement to the final dividend which will be paid on 24 May 2011. In respect of ordinary shares in securities accounts with The Central Depository (Pte) Ltd ("CDP"), the final dividend will be paid by the Company to CDP which will, in turn, distribute the dividend entitlement to the shareholders.
