Description

The Board of Directors of Hong Leong Asia Ltd. (the “Company”) wishes to announce the following: 1. Acquisition of Shares in Subsidiary Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Limited (“GYMCL”), a subsidiary of China Yuchai International Limited (“CYI”), which in turn is a subsidiary of the Company, had acquired the remaining 23.07% equity interests in Yuchai Express Guarantee Co. Ltd (“Yuchai Express”) (the “Acquisition”) from its other three external shareholders. Following the Acquisition, GYMCL now holds 100% equity interest in Yuchai Express, thereby making it a wholly-owned subsidiary of GYMCL. 2. Disposal of Associated Company Guangxi Yulin Yuchai Accessories Manufacturing Company Limited (“Guangxi Accessories”), an indirect subsidiary of CYI, had disposed its entire interest representing 20% of the registered capital of Guangxi Yuchai Automobile Spare Parts Manufacturing Company Limited (“Guangxi Automobile”) to Mr Qiu Yan, a director and general manager of Guangxi Automobile (the “Disposal”).
