Description
The Board of Directors of Renewable Energy Asia Group Ltd (the "Company") wishes to announce that on 8 June 2011, KW Capital Pte. Ltd. (“Sponsor”), the continuing sponsors of the Company, has served the Company three month’s notice of its intention to terminate its services as continuing sponsor to the Company. Accordingly, the Sponsor shall cease to act as continuing sponsor to the Company with effect from 7 September 2011 (or such earlier date as may be agreed by the Company, the new continuing sponsor to be appointed and Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the “SGX-ST”)).

The Company had noted that the Sponsor would not be able to discharge its duties as a continuing sponsor without a substantial increase in the level of diligence.

Notwithstanding the above, and subject to information made available to the Sponsor, pursuant to Rule 228(5) of the Catalist Rules, the Sponsor has confirmed that it is not aware of any non-compliance with the Catalist Rules by the Company that has not been brought to the attention of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.

The Company would like to put on record, its appreciation for the past services and support of the Sponsor.

The Company is currently engaged in a search for a suitable candidate to be appointed as its new continuing sponsor and will make further announcements in due course to update the Shareholders on such appointment.
