Announcement Title * IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – PROPOSED TERMINATION AND DELISTING OF THE DAIWA FTSE SHARIAH JAPAN 100 (THE “ETF”)  
Description
We, Daiwa Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd., as the manager of the ETF, wish to announce that, subject to obtaining the approval of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the “SGX-ST”) for the delisting, we intend to terminate the ETF and delist it from the SGX-ST.

Rationale for the termination and delisting of the ETF

As disclosed in the prospectus of the ETF registered by the Monetary Authority of Singapore on 28 September 2011 (as supplemented by the first supplementary prospectus dated 14 December 2011), the minimum fund size of the ETF is US$40 million. The net asset value of the ETF as of 10 May 2012 is US$928,191.43, which is substantially lower than the minimum fund size of US$40 million which, in our view, is required for the ongoing viability of the ETF.

An application to delist the ETF from the SGX-ST has been made to the SGX-ST today. Investors will be notified of any further developments in relation to the proposed termination and delisting of the ETF via further announcements on the SGXNET. In the meantime, for the avoidance of doubt, investors should note that the ETF remains listed on the SGX-ST and investors can continue to buy and sell units of the ETF on the SGX-ST. Investors should exercise caution when buying and selling units of the ETF.
