NOTICE OF CLOSURE OF BOOKS FOR S$500,000,000 4.50% CLASS E NON-CUMULATIVE NON-CONVERTIBLE PREFERENCE SHARES (ISIN NO: 1O30912073) (THE “PREFERENCE SHARES”)

Notice is hereby given that the Transfer Books and the Registers of OCBC Non-Cumulative Non-Convertible Class E Preference Shareholders will be closed on 15 January 2013. Duly completed transfers received by the Bank’s Share Registrar, M & C Services Private Limited of 112 Robinson Road #05-01 Singapore 068902 up to 5.00 p.m. on 14 January 2013 will be registered to determine the entitlement of the preference shareholders to a non-cumulative preferential dividend at a fixed rate of 4.5% per annum on the Liquidation Preference of each Preference Share, calculated on the basis of 39 days from (and including) 20 December 2012 to (but excluding) 28 January 2013 (being the relevant dividend period) (the “Final Preferential Dividend”). In respect of Preference Shares held in securities accounts with The Central Depository (Pte) Limited (“CDP”), the Final Preferential Dividend will be paid by Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited to CDP which will in turn distribute the dividend entitlements to preference shareholders. The Final Preferential Dividend will be paid on 28 January 2013.
