Announcement Title * EXECUTIVE ANNOUNCEMENT Description The Board of SMRT Corporation Ltd wishes to announce that Catherine Lee Khia Yee, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SMRT Corporation Ltd, has resigned from the company to pursue other career opportunities. Catherine will relinquish her role as the Chief Financial Officer on 1 March 2014. During her tenure since September 2011, Catherine has made significant contributions to SMRT, ensuring a high standard of financial governance and investor relations practices. This has led to SMRT receiving the Runner Up award for Most Transparent Company in the Travel, Leisure, and Automobiles & Parts category at the 14th Securities Investors Association (Singapore) Investors Choice Awards 2013. During this period, SMRT maintained its AAA corporate credit rating, and successfully placed S$450 million bond to investors at favourable rates. The Board and Management would like to thank Catherine for her service and wish her all the best in her future endeavours. Joining SMRT Corporation Ltd on 1 March 2014, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, is Sam Ong Eng Keang. Sam is currently Group Senior Executive Vice President and Group Deputy CEO of Hyflux Ltd where he spearheads Hyflux's business development and the expansion of the Group's business beyond existing key markets. He had previously served as Hyflux Ltds Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) where he headed the overall investment activities for the Hyflux Group as well as joint ventures management, legal, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and corporate and investor relations. In the 15 years prior to joining Hyflux, Mr Ong held global and Asia Pacific leadership positions in the USA and in Singapore in Dow Chemical, ranging from treasury and finance, pension fund investment, strategic planning, project financing to business development. Mr Ong holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Alberta, Canada and an MBA from Drake University, USA.
