("HLA" or the "Company") wishes to announce that with effect from 3 February 2015, Mr Wong Meng Choong will be appointed the Group Chief Operating Officer of the Company, reporting to the Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr Wong has more than 30 years of corporate and business experience with many years in senior management positions in local and multinational companies including Tat Hong Holdings Ltd, China Delta Export Limited, China Export Finance Limited and Fraser & Neave (F&N) Group. Mr Wong has worked with the HLA group previously, having held the role of Chief Operating Officer of the Industrial Packaging Unit of the Company from October 2000 to May 2005 and was the General Manager, China of Hong Leong Corporation Limited (now known as Hong Leong (China) Limited) ("HLC") (currently a subsidiary of the Company) from August 1998 to May 1999. Prior to December 2001, HLC was the immediate holding company of the Company. Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the National University of Singapore. He has completed the Senior Executive Program at Columbia Business School, New York. The Board welcomes Mr Wong to the Company, and is confident that with his qualifications and wealth of experience, he will be able to make positive contributions to the Group. (the "Company") wishes to announce the incorporation of Suzhou Yuchai Machinery Monopoly Co., Ltd ("Suzhou Yuchai") in the People's Republic of China. Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Monopoly Development Co., Ltd ("YMMDC") and its subsidiary, Yulin Yuchai Machinery Industry Development Co., Ltd hold respectively 90% and 10% equity interests in Suzhou Yuchai, thereby making the latter a wholly-owned subsidiary of YMMDC. YMMDC is a subsidiary of China Yuchai International Limited, which in turn is a subsidiary of the Company. The registered and paid-up capital in Suzhou Yuchai of RMB5 million was satisfied in cash and funded through internal sources. The principal activities of Suzhou Yuchai are those relating to: (i) sales and leasing of engineering machinery, engines and accessories, agricultural machinery and electrical equipment; (ii) sales and maintenance of automobiles and related parts; and (iii) sales of mechanical and electrical products, motorcycles, metal materials, electronic products, hardware, lubricants, chemical products, tires and rubber products.
